Develop and Produce Student Engagement Strategies
When City College of San Francisco approached First Floor Group (FFG) to rethink their new student outreach, we dove in to create something impactful and engaging. After facilitating four dynamic student focus groups and sending out a survey that gathered over 200 data points on students’ internet and social media habits, we knew exactly where to make waves.
From there, we mapped out the student journey—spotlighting communication gaps and figuring out how to better connect with students at every turn. Armed with this insight, we set to work crafting engaging tools for the outreach team, all within the CCSF brand but infused with a playful retro video game style throughout the campaign.
FFG’s approach helped City College of San Francisco elevate their outreach, making sure students—new and returning—are more connected, informed, and ready for success.

What did we build?
EXPLAINER VIDEOS:
Targeting high school students, we gave these videos a retro video game twist to grab attention and make the message pop.
PRESENTATION DECKS AND FLYERS:
Designed to fit the CCSF brand while continuing the retro video game campaign theme, ensuring all materials felt cohesive and visually engaging.
COUNSELING VIDEOS:
We produced four videos aimed at current students, encouraging them to check in with counselors and get ready for graduation. The first video, aimed at new students, reinforced the importance of connecting with a counselor early on.
